Dividend policy


The Company must distribute, as return on capital, an amount corresponding at least to the positive difference between the following amounts:

  • 80% of an amount equal to the sum of the adjusted result and the net capital gains on realisation of investment properties not exempt from the obligation of distribution (see Glossary);
  • and the net decrease, during the financial year, in the debt of the public Belgian REIT (see Glossary).

The coupon will be paid each year after the date of the Annual General Meeting which is fixed in the articles of association to the fourth Tuesday of the month of October. We refer you to the financial calendar.


Dividend relating to the 2018/2019 financial year

For the 2018/2019 financial year, Aedifica proposes a gross dividend of 2.80 euro per share, an increase of 12% as compared to the dividend for the 2017/2018 financial year. After approval by the general meeting on Tuesday 22 October 2019, this amount will be allocated on a pro rata temporis basis to coupon no. 21 (EUR 2.38, for the period as of 1 July 2018 up to and including 6 May 2019) and coupon no. 22 (EUR 0.42, for the period as of 7 May 2019 up to and including 30 June 2019). Coupon no. 21 has already been detached on 24 April 2019 following a capital increase in cash. The dividend will be paid five working days after the date of the ordinary general meeting. This year, the dividend relating to the 2018/2019 financial year will therefore in principle be paid as from 30 October 2019.

As a RREC investing more than 60% of its portfolio in healthcare property, the withholding tax for Aedifica investors amounts to only 15%. After deduction of the 15% withholding, the net dividend will amount to 2.38 euro, divided between coupon no. 21 (2.023 euro) and coupon no. 22 (0.357 euro).
